11-12 Months

Envision your wedding. What will your day look like? Small and intimate or party of the century!
Plan your budget
Choose a few dates just in case your favorite spot is not available
Pick and book your venue
Think about your guest list

8-10 Months

Start Shopping for your dress and bridesmaids dresses (these may need to be altered)
Engagement photos
Order your invitations
Book hair and make up (a trial run is always a great idea!)
Book your DJ/Photographer and Florist if you haven't already done so.
Send save the dates

6-8 Months

Pick your cake (A bit of advice if you do not have someone dedicated to cutting and plating your cake NOBODY will eat it!) Plan a dessert bar instead people love things they can pick up.
Book hotel rooms
Finalize the guest list
Time for the guys to pick their outfit

4-6 Months

Mail your invitations (send one to your venue so they have a timeline as well for ceremony, dinner and dance)
Plan honeymoon
Planning and out of country honeymoon? Get those passports
Dress fittings
Bridal Shower

2-4 Months

Get gifts for your guys and gals
Hair and make-up trial
Make appointments for your wedding day hair and make up

1-2 Months

Get your marriage license (remember every state has different requirements make sure to check with the county you are getting married in)
Final dress fitting(make sure your personal attendant or MOH is with you so they know how to bustle your dress)
Final fittings for guys
Order thank yous

2-4 Weeks

Finalize your RSVP list and send counts to vendors
Meet with your venue to finalize wedding timeline and décor choices
Create family picture list
Song list to DJ
Plan your wedding party entrance
Write all your final checks and plan who will hand out.
